Sectors | Investors and platform partners

Executive search for infrastructure investors and the data centre platforms they back.

Infrastructure funds, sovereign investors and the platforms they back need operating leaders they can trust with a build: the platform CEO or COO, the CFO who has financed a campus, the head of development who can find power. I run those searches for investors, their portfolio platforms and the joint ventures between foreign operators and Gulf partners.

Seats like these open quietly. If you lead investors and platform partners work and would consider a move, including into or out of the Gulf, talk to me in confidence.

The seats

  • Platform CEO, COO and managing director
  • CFO and head of project finance for data centre and power platforms
  • Head of development and origination
  • Operating partners and portfolio leadership for infrastructure funds
  • Non-executive and board seats with delivery or power experience
  • Leadership for joint ventures between foreign operators and Gulf partners

What is driving hiring, and the timelines

  • The spend keeps rising. Evercore and Bank of America model hyperscaler capex above USD 1tn in 2027 (via Yahoo Finance).
  • Gulf platforms are looking for partners. HUMAIN, backed by PIF, targets 1.9 GW by 2030 and 6.6 GW by 2034 and has sought a US data centre equity partner (DatacenterDynamics).
  • Power decides value. With new grid taking 5 to 15 years, the leaders who can secure and deliver power are the scarcest people on a platform (IEA, World Energy Investment 2025).

How investors use me

One search for a portfolio company, or a map across the portfolio: who can run a platform, who has financed a campus, who has delivered power, and what each costs. Confidential by default.

Why clients use me here

  • Searches filled across the GCC, Europe and North America
  • Executive search in energy and EPC across the Middle East
  • Retained mandates for multinational engineering groups, through their subsidiaries
  • Recruitment teams built and trained
  • Your search page, live from day one
  • A shortlist in 10 working days, in writing

How a retained search runs

  1. Map

Who has delivered this scope, where they sit, what they cost.

  2. Shortlist

People who have agreed to be introduced, with a written assessment of each, within 10 working days on a retained or engaged search.

  3. Start date

Offer, notice and relocation handled through to day one.

How retained search works, and when engaged search fits better

Terms

Retained or engaged, with a fee on signing. Retained: three stages, on signing, on the shortlist and at the start date. Engaged: a fee on signing, credited in full against the final fee. Both exclusive, both with a shortlist within 10 working days. How the terms work

What they pay

Pay for these seats is not published anywhere I trust. Ask for a confidential market check and I'll tell you what I see for your seat.

How a confidential conversation works

  • A call, not a form. What you run today, what you would move for, and what you would not.
  • Nothing shared without your say-so. Your profile goes to a client only with your permission for that one role.
  • The real package, in writing, before you interview: base, housing, schooling, bonus and relocation.
  • The move handled: notice, visas and family questions, into or out of the Gulf.
  • You never pay a fee.
